ACTFIRST

ACTFIRST

ACTFIRST is a global impact community led by 41 FRC and 6 FTC ambassadors across 7 countries and 17 different cities. Through monthly missions aligned with international awareness days, we aim to make teams’ social responsibility projects more organized, sustainable, and measurable. With missions designed in easy, medium, and hard levels, every team can participate according to its own capacity, create meaningful projects, share experiences, and become part of a global community. In just 4 months, ACTFIRST has directly reached 10,542 people, turning individual efforts into a united and lasting global impact. Example project scenarios: • As part of “Science in 60 Seconds,” we enabled students to explain scientific concepts in a simple and understandable way using short videos, posters, and creative content. • Through “Hands-On Science Day” events, we brought participants together with hands-on STEM experiences through experiments, simple circuit systems, engineering tasks, and robotics projects. • As part of the “Science Without Barriers” projects, we brought science workshops to students in disadvantaged areas; we provided experiment kits, accessible science content, and organized community science fairs. If you also want to be more than just an FRC or FTC team — if you want to truly make a difference in the world, inspire your community, and create sustainable global impact — join ACTFIRST and become one of our ambassadors through the application link below! #ActFIRST Join Us Now! PAYASTEM

PAYASTEM

PAYASTEM is an education and impact center that we, as Fenerbahçe Doğuş SPARC 5665, have been running in Hatay since 2015 to create equal opportunities through STEM education, prepare young people for future careers, and support social development. At our center, we provide hands-on training in robotics, Python programming, artificial intelligence, data analysis, and project-based learning. After the 2023 earthquakes, PAYASTEM became an active part of the recovery process. We included 53 earthquake-affected students in our team and supported them through FRC training programs. Today, these students organize STEM workshops for children aged 5–10 and share their knowledge with the community. Within PAYASTEM, we also conduct vocational training and skill development programs for women, supporting them in production, entrepreneurship, and workforce skills. In addition, our Sparc-ing Young Minds program has reached 976 students in areas such as scientific research, robotics, coding, and cybersecurity. Today, PAYASTEM continues to serve not only as an education center in Hatay, but also as a sustainable model that expands access to knowledge, strengthens social solidarity, and empowers individuals to look toward the future with hope.

CAMPUS@FIRST

CAMPUS@FIRST

CAMPUS@FIRST is a project developed to build a sustainable bridge between the FRC community and academia. Through the website we created, we collected and categorized technical questions from 15 FRC teams worldwide in areas such as mechanical design, part compatibility, electrical-electronics, and software systems. These questions were directed to academics from 4 universities across 3 different countries, allowing us to gather scientific and practical feedback. We then compiled these responses into an open-access academic guidance catalog, helping teams quickly reach reliable resources and make more informed engineering decisions. With CAMPUS@FIRST, we aim to ensure that young engineering students are supported with academic perspectives, gain confidence in solving technical challenges, and develop an engineering problem-solving mindset at an early stage. Iğdır STEM Center

Iğdır STEM Center

Iğdır STEM Center is a sustainable education project inspired by the successful STEM center model in Payas, aiming to increase students’ access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education in the region. The weekly training plans and educational content of the center were fully designed by our team, taking students’ age groups, interests, and knowledge levels into consideration to create a structured learning program. Through hands-on workshops and activities, we continue to encourage students’ curiosity and motivation toward STEM fields. As a result of these programs, we observed strong student interest in STEM and supported the establishment of two new FLL teams to transform this interest into a long-term and sustainable structure. In this way, we encouraged students to engage in project-based and continuous learning experiences. With its scalable structure and lasting impact, the Iğdır STEM Center project continues to promote STEM culture in disadvantaged regions and aims to help raise the next generation of innovative individuals.

SparcAge

SparcAge

SPARC AGE is an interdisciplinary awareness project that brings together the past and present through a STEM perspective, connecting historical heritage with technology and engineering. Within the project, we examine different historical sites in 10–15 minute episodes, explaining their historical background, engineering methods, and the technological possibilities of their era while relating them to modern STEM applications. Beyond being a storytelling series, the project is supported by interviews with experts in architecture, engineering, history, and technology. Through these discussions, we explore the role of modern STEM practices such as digital modeling, preservation technologies, and sustainability in protecting historical heritage. In this way, we emphasize that STEM is not only a field for the future, but also a powerful tool for understanding and preserving the past. Our content and interview series have been published on digital platforms and reached a total of 1,595 viewers. With SPARC AGE, we aim to strengthen historical awareness among young people and position STEM as an interdisciplinary and accessible field connected to everyday life.

NASA ASTROCAMP®

NASA ASTROCAMP®

In 2024, as Fenerbahçe Doğuş SPARC, we became the first Community Partner of the NASA ASTROCAMP® program in Türkiye. Through this partnership, we are using NASA educational materials to deliver hands-on space and STEM activities to more than 800 students aged 3–18 in Istanbul and Hatay. At kindergartens, events organized under Fenerbahçe Sports Club, and our PAYASTEM center in Hatay, we are conducting interactive workshops on rocket design, robotics, and planetary science. By especially reaching children and young people affected by the earthquake, we aim to encourage scientific curiosity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Our NASA ASTROCAMP® partnership is a strong example of our vision to make STEM education accessible for everyone, while also demonstrating that sustainable science education is possible even under disaster conditions.
