SPARC AGE is an interdisciplinary awareness project that brings together the past and present through a STEM perspective, connecting historical heritage with technology and engineering. Within the project, we examine different historical sites in 10–15 minute episodes, explaining their historical background, engineering methods, and the technological possibilities of their era while relating them to modern STEM applications.
Beyond being a storytelling series, the project is supported by interviews with experts in architecture, engineering, history, and technology. Through these discussions, we explore the role of modern STEM practices such as digital modeling, preservation technologies, and sustainability in protecting historical heritage. In this way, we emphasize that STEM is not only a field for the future, but also a powerful tool for understanding and preserving the past.
Our content and interview series have been published on digital platforms and reached a total of 1,595 viewers. With SPARC AGE, we aim to strengthen historical awareness among young people and position STEM as an interdisciplinary and accessible field connected to everyday life.
